Pretty Make-up Mia

Just tonight I found Mia in the bathroom. She was "getting pretty". I forgot to put my make-up bag up and Mia, who loves putting makeup on, found it. A picture is worth a thousand words. Enjoy!

Emptying the Gross Pool

"A stitch in time saves nine." During the summer we were gone for a week, and while we were gone our pool got all gross. Well, we had already cleaned it out once after being gone and didn't feel up for the task again. So the pool had just become a gross green soup. Today was the day to relieve the pool of its duty. Yep! We let the water out. Jason and Mia decided that it would be a blast to play in the water, of course. :) They were convinced that it was clean now. A couple cups and whales helped them have a ton of fun!

Finally, a Bumblebee Transformer! All is well in the world!

Jason has been wanting a BumbleBee Transformer for months. The deal was he had to do different jobs to help around the house, that were SUPPOSED to be extra jobs other than what he should just do anyway. :) We finally got the "Transformer Adventure" sheet filled up! Yeah! I think I was just as excited as him to finally be able to get a BumbleBee Transformer! And ever since BumbleBee was taken from the package he has been with us everywhere.

Bees, Bees, Bees

Recently, we found that we have a bee hive in the side of our house. One evening as we were eating outside I noticed a bee fly under the siding on the house. I watched for a little while and noticed other bees. "Josh, watch there are bees flying under the siding", I said. He watched too as another bee flew under the siding and two other bees flew out from under it. Sure enough as we watched more bees flew in and out. To solve the problem Josh got some fill the gap stuff to spray in the bee hive entrance. But instead of the bees just going away, they fly around trying to find the entrance or a new spot to build their hive; and they have been coming inside the house. I actually got stung by one on my leg after it had flown up under my capris. So far though Josh, Jason, and Mia are all safe.

Early in May Pella has a Tulip Festival. We went to enjoy the Kid Fun Run. Jason was so excited! He kept saying he was going to be first and win the race! Josh was running with him. They said Go! Jason took off but then he fell and Josh carried him to the finish line. Afterward everyone was able to have a popsicle which made it all better!

Extended absence

So after an extended absence from writing, we have returned with a summer packed with family and travels and here and there some work. Josh is an amazing husband and father and during his summer months is working, working, working. Sometimes the fan club tags along so he doesn't have to travel so much by himself. So stay posted because hopefully there will be some new posts to read coming soon.

Boy, boys, boys!!

Boys, boys, boys!!!  I don't know what I'm going to do! lol.  Someone and I won't say who, discovered his dad's ties and decided to try them all on.  Who needs to go out when you have live in entertainment!!  First: tape, then: ties, hmmmmm......what next?
